FAQ
Does waxing hurt?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but our technique and Brazilian hard wax are designed to be as comfortable as possible. Most guests describe the sensation as quick and manageable—and say each visit feels easier than the last.
How long should my hair be before I come in for a wax?
For best results, hair should be about the length of a grain of rice (around ¼ inch / 6 mm). If it’s shorter, the wax may not grip properly; if it’s much longer, your Wax Pro can safely trim before starting.
How often should I wax?
Most guests wax every 4–6 weeks, depending on their hair growth. Staying consistent helps hair grow back softer and finer, and can make each session more comfortable over time.
What’s the difference between a bikini wax and a Brazilian wax?
A bikini wax cleans up hair along the sides and top of the bikini line for a neat look. A Brazilian removes more—up to all hair from front to back—though you can choose to leave a strip or shape if you prefer.
Is waxing safe for sensitive skin or all skin types?
Yes. Our hard wax and protocols are designed with skin health in mind, including sensitive areas. Your Wax Pro will review any skin concerns, medications, or recent treatments and adjust as needed.
I’m new to waxing—what can I expect at my first visit?
Your Wax Pro will explain every step, from positioning to aftercare, before they begin. Services are performed quickly and professionally in a private room, and you’ll leave with personalized tips for keeping your skin smooth.
How should I prepare my skin before my appointment?
Let hair grow to the recommended length, gently exfoliate 1–2 days before, and avoid heavy lotions or oils on the day of your visit. If you’re nervous, you can take a mild, doctor-approved pain reliever about 30 minutes beforehand.
What should I avoid doing after my wax?
For the first 24 hours, skip hot showers, saunas, heavy workouts, tight clothing, self-tanner, and direct sun exposure on the waxed area. This helps reduce irritation and keeps your skin calm and clear.
Can I wax while pregnant?
Many pregnant guests choose to wax throughout their pregnancy, but you may be more sensitive to discomfort. As long as your doctor has no restrictions, we can adjust positioning and technique to keep you as comfortable as possible.
Do you offer waxing services for men?
Yes. We offer a full range of men’s services, including brows, nose, ears, chest, back, shoulders, legs, and Brazilian. Our Wax Pros are trained to work discreetly and professionally with all guests, regardless of gender.
