Thinking of booking a Brazilian wax? First, put down the drugstore razor and pick up the phone and call your nearest Depil Studio! Men and women are very particular about where to go for such an intimate and delicate service, but at Depil Brazil you can trust that our trained, experience wax pros and our specially formulated honey wax will leave you LOVING both your experience and your results. Here’s some insight on what to expect during your visit and what you should do to prepare yourself before your appointment.
Tip #1. Leave it to the professionals. The thought of doing your wax at home might sound appealing, but the reality is that it is almost impossible to get a good wax when you are doing it yourself, and you will probably be left with stray hairs, bruising, patchy spots, broken hair, and ingrown hair which can lead to an infection. At Depil Brazil, hair removal is the core of our business along with full body waxing. Wouldn’t you rather have the service done correctly and enjoy smooth, soft skin?
Tip #2. Remember to exfoliate. 24 hours before your visit to Depil Brazil take a nice shower with a natural exfoliant like our Arpoador Gel Exfoliant, and gently scrub your body. Exfoliating your skin removes the dead skin first, making it easier for your wax pro to remove the hair effectively and allowing smoother results. Exfoliating the skin also helps you to avoid ingrown hairs and breakage during your wax.
Tip #3. Make moisturizing part of your daily grooming routine. Hydration is a must before and after you wax. Keep your skin happy and feeling soft and smooth by applying a moisturizer as soon as you’re out of the shower. Lotions, moisturizers, like our Leblon Slow Grow Lotion, are all great options! Locking in the moisture helps hydrate and protect your skin. Which is especially important on your most exposed areas, and your most intimate areas. Our ingrown hair serum can also help remove any excess wax.
Tip #4. Let your hair grow. The ideal length of hair waxing at least a quarter-inch. You want to make sure that your hair “down there” is long enough for you to pinch with your fingertips. If your hair is too short the wax has nothing to adhere to, and therefore will not be able to grip the hair well enough to effectively remove it. So no need to trim before your appointment.
Tip #5. Don’t wait to book again. As much as you may love your smooth skin now, hair grows back, and it grows back faster if you’ve never been waxed. We recommend that you book your follow-up appointment with our wax pros before you leave. You should return for your wax every 2-4 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. The more consistent your sessions are, the longer your results will last.
Tip #6. After care is a must. Again, you will absolutely love your results, but that doesn’t mean after your wax that the work is over. You must properly exfoliate at least twice per week and moisturize daily. If you will also want to prevent any chances of ingrown hair as the hair begins to grow back. Our Ipanema Ingrown Hair Serum uses oil-free, natural ingredients to reduce the appearance of ingrown hairs and soothe any redness and irritation. Washing your intimate areas with our Sao Conrado Intimate Wash gently cleanses while unclogging pores, regulating moisture and soothing and itching that may occur as the hair grows back. Following these steps will keep your confidence high and your waxed areas clean and smooth.
