The Corcovado Wax Kit is a hard wax made with no harsh fragrances, no additives, or color dyes. The special formula wax contains natural ingredients like honey, carnauba, and andiroba oil to nourish and soothe any part of the body which makes this wax ideal for sensitive skin areas on the face, underarms, and bikini.
To use the Corcovado Wax Kit
Before Waxing:
– Use the Joatinga Cleanser and Arpoador Gel Exfoliant products included in select kits to clean and exfoliate the desired areas and to remove any build-up, dirt, or oil from the skin. If you do not have the Joatinga in your kit, you can purchase it from our website.
– Use a clean, dry towel to pat dry the skin completely.
– Do not apply any lotions, oils, or creams to the skin.
– Hair should be about one-fourth to three-fourths of an inch long for best results.
– If it is your first time waxing, do a patch test on a small area of the skin of the forearm or upper thigh.
– Lay down towels, aluminum foil, or newspapers on top of the surface you plan to use the wax.
– Remove all of the contents of the Corcovado kit and set them on the table.
Waxing:
– Remove the lid covering the wax and place in the microwave for 2.5 to 4.5 minutes, or until most of the wax pellets have melted. Do not let all of the wax melt, as there should still be some beads to mix with the melted pellets to have the perfect consistency for the wax.
– Let the melted wax sit inside of the microwave for about 30 seconds.
– Safely remove the melted wax from the microwave and mix with the wax spatula until a honey-like consistency is reached. Always test the temperature of the wax before applying it to the skin.
– Dip the supplied waxing spatula inside the wax with a gently stir to coat the wax onto the stick. Remove the stick and apply the wax to the desired area.
– Gently spread an even layer of wax on the desired area. Leave the wax thicker and rounded at the edges for easier removal. We recommend bringing your wax application to the areas that are less hairy so that it is easier to “tab” the edge of the wax without any added pain.
– Let the wax cool, until the surface is no longer tacky to the touch.
– Remove the wax from the covered area as fast as possible.
Start lifting the outer edge and then peel off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
– Waxing can be messy, so we recommend taking your time on each area to prevent any spill or messes. If you do spill or find yourself with any accidental drips, let it dry completely and scrape the excess wax away. The residue can be removed with an oil-based product.

After Waxing:
– Clean any excess wax remaining on the skin with the Joatinga cleanser included in select Corcovado Waxing Kits. The Joatinga will also help reduce redness and soothe skin, reapply as needed. You can also use the Ipanema Ingrown Hair Serum.
– During your shower use the Leme Slow Grow Body Wash to maintain beautifully soft, polished, elastic, moisturized skin.
– Replace the lip on the cooled off wax and store it at room temperature. Do not refrigerate.
